This report presents the socio-economic and labour market dynamics of the advanced manufacturing sector in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. It explores how technological transformations such as automation, digitalisation and artificial intelligence, alongside green transitions, are reshaping industrial skills and employment requirements. To address these changing needs, the strategic implementation of Evolutive Learning Factories by the École Nationale Supérieure d’Arts et Métiers on the Chambéry campus is highlighted. These purpose-built environments integrate sustainable design, eco-innovation and circular economy practices into vocational education and training (VET) programmes, bridging the gap between educational contexts and real-world industrial challenges.
