The LF4VET project will participate in the Forum on Vocational Excellence 2026
The LF4VET project will participate in the Forum on Vocational Excellence 2026, taking place in Graz, Austria. The Forum will bring together vocational education and training professionals, policymakers, industry representatives and other stakeholders to exchange knowledge and explore the future of vocational excellence in Europe.
On Wednesday, 9 September 2026, LF4VET partners will lead the interactive workshop entitled “Industry 5.0 in HVET through Learning Factories 5.0: Pedagogy and Technology towards Industry 5.0.”
The workshop will then explore how the principles and enabling technologies of Industry 5.0 can be effectively integrated into vocational education and training through Learning Factories. In particular, the session will address:
- The Industry 5.0 paradigm and its implications for industry and education;
- Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0 technologies used in Learning Factories;
- Strategies for integrating Industry 5.0 technologies into education;
- Pedagogical approaches supporting the development of Learning Factories 5.0;
- The contribution of Learning Factories to human-centric, sustainable and resilient education and manufacturing systems.
The workshop will include presentations by Unai Ziarsolo from Tknika and CIFP MIGUEL ALTUNA and Christine Lichem-Herzog and Sabrina Sorko from FH JOANNEUM. Participants will also have the opportunity to work in groups, exchange experiences and discuss practical strategies for incorporating Industry 5.0 technologies and pedagogical approaches into education.
Through its participation in the Forum, LF4VET aims to contribute to the European dialogue on the future of higher vocational education and training and highlight the important role of Learning Factories in preparing learners and workers for the evolving needs of Industry 5.0.
The event will also provide a valuable opportunity to strengthen collaboration among VET providers, industry partners, policymakers and European initiatives, including BRIDGES 5.0 and LCAMP.
